Safe guarding  poster

This was a live brief for the client Salford City College. They wanted some safe guarding posters however, the ones they received from Childline were often too graphic and unsuitable for students . They wanted something more focused on emotional intelligence.

The left side ideas generation- the right my final

On the left page of my sketch book I wrote every slogan and idea I had when the client explained what type of poster she wanted this was to get my initial ideas on to paper. After creating thumbnails and adding more ideas the next day (in pencil) I discovered the idea of opening up and talking as well as opening up a box or freedom. I then cut out several butterflies from paper using a scalpel without any guide lines. I took a photo of them in a slant, cluster. Then I photoshopped different colour gradients and I added a picture of a card board box and used brain flower type to finish up the gentle look I was going for.
